Hair dye timing before highlights professionally done?

I am going in today to get my hair professionally done with highlights. I asked the lady if I could dye my hair my natural color before coming in and she said yes. But now it is only 7 hours in advance. Is that far enough?Hair dye timing before highlights professionally done?
it all depends on what colour you are and what colour you want to achieve if your natural colour and you natural colour is dark i really do not recommend this as they will use bleach for your highlights and dark hair is very hard to lift and your highlights will go very ginger even if they are toned and then you will need to keep having highlights done and this is making the salon more money you less money and damaged hair but if you are dying your hair to a light brown this is ok but still not really recommended as bleach is very harsh and if you are colouring it dark blonde it should be ok just plenty of deep conditioning treatments after why don't you have alternate foils of your natural colour and the blonde.

Should be ok, I reckon, it's what they do in some salons. But do a deep conditioning treatment after, then wash it out really well, because if your hair's greasy the highlights won't take.
