What color highlights look good with black hair?

ive got black hair and everytime i look through book in salons the only color i see with black are crazy pinks and purples or blues, i really just want something new tired of plain ol black? what should i do?What color highlights look good with black hair?
i dont think any colours really go with black hair, unless theyre bright one, wich black being such a dark colour

reds %26amp; coppers. the shades of those colors depends on your skin tone. you could also just put a clear glaze on your black hair %26amp; it will make it look incredible. go to your salon %26amp; look at all the colors %26amp; talk to your stylist...there are so many things you can do.
Auburn/ Reds, honey blondes, browns. It really also depends a lot on your skin tone and what looks best next to your exact skin tone more then anything.
electric blue, purple, dark red, blonde, copper! any of those!
Go with an auburn red or a deep plum purple.
