Is there a way to get blue highlights without bleaching your hair?

my aunt is a cosmetologist and she said the only way i can get blue highlights would be to bleach it or get temporary highlights that would just wash right out but i don't want either. is there any other way? i was thinking extensions but i have really curly hair and i don't know i just don't think it would look right. if you have suggestions or know another way please let me know. thanks! Oh I also have blond hair do I still need to bleach it?Is there a way to get blue highlights without bleaching your hair?
you can get tracks that are human hare and get sum flat irons aor curlst and crinp itIs there a way to get blue highlights without bleaching your hair?
if your hair is naturally blonde, then the bleach wouldnt have to be on there as long as if you had darker hair, so it wouldnt damage it as much. if all you want is a highlight or two, bleaching that one section of your hair shouldnt do much damage. just a warning though when the color fades the hair underneath is white and that looks really bad!

you could try getting the color without bleaching and it might work, and if it doesnt the only thing youve lost is money, which is alot, but it shouldnt be that much for a steak or two.
You wouldn't have to bleach it if your hair is blonde. But I'm guessing you're not...so yes the only way would be to bleach your hair. I wonder if they could just bleach the sections of hair that you wanted to dye? You could ask about that and see if they could do it.

Oh, and you're right, extensions wouldn't look right with your hair unless the piece is just as curly as your hair!

Edit: For some reason I missed the part where you said that your hair was blonde, i'm sorry! She should be able to give you hightlights then, but your hair has to be a really light blonde, not a darker shade. Good luck.
Yes, you would. Unless your hair is platinum blonde, it will not look right. If there is any gold in your hair at all, it will turn green. (gold/yellow + blue = green). I would listen to your aunt since, you know, she's a professional and all.

You could also do human hair extensions that you can curl with a curling iron to match your curly hair. Although unnatural colored extensions are synthetic, so if you wanted human ones they'd probably be expensive.
if you have blond hair you might not have to bleach it, however, when it fades it will probably turn a greenish, chlorine-look to your hair if you can deal with that. the other option is the wash-out dye and just keep re-applying it like my friend does with purple hair dye.
If you have blonde hair then no you don't have to bleach them since blue is darker than blonde hair.

I wouldn't get extentions because you'll have to curl them then.
