Whats a way to get highlights without using real hair dye?

I don't want to go to a salon but i don't want to color my own hair at home. I was just wondering if any of you had some old tricks to getting highlights. I heard lemon juice works ok, but I tried it and it didn't do much . I don't expect any perfect honey blonde highlights, just something until I CAN get real highlights.Whats a way to get highlights without using real hair dye?
There's a couple different sprays, like ';Sun-in'; and ';A Touch of Sun';...they lighten your hair while you're out in the sun. And they work! You can find them anywhere like Wal-mart, Walgreens...etc.Whats a way to get highlights without using real hair dye?
Well Sally Beauty Supplies sell non permanent highlights in a can where you just spray it on your hair and can wash it out. I wouldnt try peroxide or lemon juice, its just acid that will lighten your hair.





Or, you can try clip on highlihgts, they look really real and if you buy the ones that say you can crimp it, curl it, or straigthen it then those would be great. It is healthier on your hair and to use.
you could try a colour shampoo these give a lighter tone to the hair
