How do I put highlights in my boyfriends hair?

My boyfriend has semi-long hair. It goes past his eyes in the front and to the end of his neck in the back. He is letting me put highlights in but I dont know how to exactly. ^,^. Can anyone give me advise on how do it?Anyone? ~~How do I put highlights in my boyfriends hair?

Get a powder lightner with a 30 volume developer. You can pull them through a cap or just comb them on. Foil is the best option but unless you know what you are doing it is hard. Tell him to go get it done at a beauty school - super cheap and it will look good.
Use foil and one of those combs with the skinny tip on the end. get the chunks or tiny pieces of hair that you want high lighted and put then on top of the long piece of foil. drench the die on the hair, and cover it with the foil so you cant see the hair. repeat till all the highlighs are done and let wait as long as the die says. good luck
