Should I color my hair or get highlights/lowlights?

I usually just use a box dye to color my hair but I've done it so many times now it just seems to get blotchy instead of cover up the roots. My roots are like a dirty blond color and the rest of my hair is dark. Should I get my hair professionally colored or should I get some highlights %26amp; lowlights and maybe that will help blend in all the colors together or do both? You should definitely go and have it professionally fixed. From what it sounds like you have multi tones of color throughout your hair. I would color your hair back to it's natural color and put low and highlights throughout. Find a salon that uses ammonia free color and enzymes instead of developer it will be much healthier for your hairShould I color my hair or get highlights/lowlights?
